Cosmic Tattoo has been established in Colchester since 1998,and in that time we've gone from strength to strength, gaining national and international recognition for the quality of our work with numerous awards and magazine features to our credit.
We feel we have everything it takes to turn your dream into reality, from a simple butterfly to a full custom body suit, we want you to have a tattoo that you can be proud of. We have literally thousands of designs to choose from, or maybe you want a tattoo that no-one else has, here at Cosmic Tattoo this isn't a problem, we have the artistry to turn your idea into a work of art. No job is too big or small, and each tattoo receives our total dedication.
We are extremely proud of the work we produce here at Cosmic, and hope you enjoy browsing our photo galleries.The photos are there to show you what we are capable of when looking for a tattoo studio to do your next tattoo.However, please refrain from copying images from the gallery to get a direct copy done, as much of the work featured is one off work, and its naff to rip off someone elses tattoo! So get us to do something original for you, its so much cooler!
After 10 years in our old shop,we've outgrown it and have finally moved into a beautiful big new shop in Portal Precinct (check out the 'our shop' section at the top of this page), opposite Lush and Karen Millen along Sir Isaacs Walk in Colchester. Two floors, a seperate body piercing room, a waiting room filled with the latest designs, art, airbrushing, and even a custom sofa made for us by Jamie Shaw and the team from Pimp My Ride UK, you gotta see it to believe it!
To reduce our waiting lists, we are now featuring FOUR full time artists, each with their own speciality, but all more than capable of making your tattoo one to be proud of! Please feel free to pop into the shop and browse our photo albums, where you will recieve a warm welcome and see how fantastic the new the shop is!
Got a tattoo done somewhere else and youre not happy with it? Then pop in and see us,dont worry, maybe we can sort it out or you and save the day! We welcome all customers, old and new.
Our latest addition to the team is Sim, who is available for 'walk-in appointments', subject to availability.
If you prefer to be tattooed by a female tattooist, its time to book in with the amazing Pinky, our resident female artist! Aswell as being our 'traditional' specialist, she also specialises in intricate geometric designs and dotwork, a master of this truly beautiful work,come and check it out!
Looking to get a body piercing? then call in and see Dickie our body piercer, get your piercing done in clean hygienic surroundings with state of the art sterilized equipment.You only get it done once, get it done right!

Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 Chapter 24
It shall be an offence to tattoo a person under the age of eighteen except when the tattoo is performed for medical reasons by a duly qualified medical practitioner or by a person working under his/her direction. You cannot obtain a tattoo under the age of 18 - not even with your parents permission!
